Through music, we can connect more directly with the past.
From the 1890s onwards, modernity had unmistakably begun to take hold in Berlin. During the Weimar Republic, it then made its mark at every level. As technological progress – for better or for worse – became a prerequisite for cultural developments, we still have audio and film recordings from that period today.
